Questions
Few existing datasets are able to link genetic data from a large number of known individuals across a wide area with their lifelong health and reproductive data. Such data on the Myanmar timber elephant population will allow answering a range of important questions.

How?
We are collecting serum samples from each elephant. These are stored to be used for veterinary research both at present and in the future in order to make a genetic data base of the timber elephants.
